A child in Bangladesh

Child sponsorship is a huge topic in the non-profit world because children are the most vulnerable of any humans. There is tons of information floating around about how world poverty is effecting the lives of children, how HIV/AIDS is hurting kids lives, a UNICEF website dedicated to keeping stats on how children are fairing in the world… the list could go on for a long long time.

World Concern wanted a way to talk about informative child orient things. Yes, we have a great website, but it isn’t really a good place to just talk about sponsoring children. We watend a place to put all of our ideas and articles we find that would be useful to people, plus create a way for you to communicate with us about what’s important to you.

We want this to be a two way street.  If there is something that you think we’re not writing about in the blog - something that we’re missing completely - then definitely let us know.  Or, even if there is a book that’s worth reading that we should know about. Our goal is to create a resource for people looking to become more knowledgeable, or stay knowledgeable, on the subject of child sponsorship.

If have questions about anything regarding child sponsosrship, you can always contact us or use the handy “chat live w/ us” tab at the top of this blog. And, if you want to help out right away make sure to check out the “help this cause” tab.  There you will find how to sponsor a child, how to donate to a specific cause of your choosing, and other ways that you could help World Concern in its mission of helping people around the world.
